With the first season in full swing, Black Clover has captured the attention of viewers worldwide. Originally a manga written and illustrated by Yūki Tabata, this epic story is about two young teens, Asta and Yuno, who both have a dream to become the highly coveted Wizard King. Asta, seemingly being the only person in the country (or world) without magic powers shines just as bright as his magic toting counter parts by emitting confidence and persistence. Yet, Yuno has been gifted with incredible magic power as well as a cool and mature demeanor. These two character’s personality traits and dynamic are reminicant of another well known anime duo, Naruto and Sasuke from Naruto.
The world that Asta and Yuno live in is inhabited by humans who all have some level of magic power to aid them through out their everyday lives. Much like Fairy Tail, this magical world is full of mythical monsters, weapons, spells as well as guild like groups. Although Black Clover has its similarities to Naruto and Fairy Tail, this exciting new anime stands alone.
A new episode of Black Clover airs every Sunday at 4pm Eastern on Funimation.
